There's a quote in the artists' description: "Becoming a mother is accepting that your heart will forever walk outside of your body". I think it complements the mood of the piece perfectly. A busy, coherent texture and vibrant palette balanced by the introspective feel, this painting illustrates yet another beautiful aspect of womanhood.
