"How do you know I'm mad", said Alice.
"You must be", said the cat "or you wouldn't have come here."

Thank you so much - this is a new style for me with the drawing/collage - I do LOVE this color palette!

I do really like the colors. Still experimenting with the face and balancing the simplicity of the figure.

I prefer to create anonymous faces and with the palette knife - it is so abstract that simple works so well. With the brush simple doesn't seem to look as good for me. I may need to include a simple mouth/nose also with this style?

Any thoughts? Thank you!

Yeah, sort of like looking at someone through the rain or the snow or at a distance. You know they are a person but they sort of fade.

I think impasto really works for you. Much like thin linear works work for me. I try other things but they never work as well. So, I've finally decided to focus in on linear works.

I think with keeping the faces anonymous you might want to focus on the mass of the face. A lot like with this image: [link] and [link] where you can see the masses in the light. I think the abstraction is completely flexible. :)

Love the work though. Lovely. ^^

We all have our thing I guess. I am working on this same exact pose with the knife to be able to see the difference side by side - I like the knife a little better. I think the knife compliments the way I prefer to draw rather than the brush.

As far as the faces - I do like my previous faces better. The knife adds to a simple face as well with the texture.

I haven't had the chance to paint too much since this piece. Gotta get going on that!
