Hi, thanks - I use a palette knife to apply all of my paint so the textured appearance comes from a building up of layers of acrylics. Hope this helps!

ooo......a palate knife. are they fun to use? i've never used one before. is it hard? hmm......

Yes, the palette knife is the best. I use it exclusively for all my recent work - no brushes. It takes some getting used to but once you get it - it is very addictive. Also, I love not having to use water for the work or for cleaning up as the knife just wipes right off!

Yes, I think this color mix is really interesting. I am usually working with more bold colors but wanted to try something a little lighter in tone. Glad you like it!
